\nRole Overview
\nWe are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for enterprise clients. This role involves responding to service requests when required and providing hands-on technical assistance for desktop systems, laptops, network connectivity, and peripheral devices at the client location.
\nThis is a contract-based, on-demand position, meaning work assignments will be provided as and when support is required. Availability and responsiveness are essential for this role.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n● Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
\n● Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
\n● Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
\n● Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
\n● Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
\n● Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
\n● Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
\n● Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing onsite tasks.
\nRequired Skills
\n● Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments
\n● Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement
\n● Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers)
\n● Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues
\n● Good communication and customer service skills
\n● Ability to work independently in onsite support environments
\nTools Required to Carry
\nEngineers must carry the following tools while attending onsite support requests:
\n● Windows Laptop
\n● LAN Cable
\n● Console Cable
\n● Screwdriver Toolkit
\n● Basic IT troubleshooting tools
\nWork Model
\n● On-demand / field support role
\n● Work assignments will be shared by the Service Delivery Team
\n● Engineers will be contacted via phone or email when support is required
\n● Engineers will receive site location, SPOC details, and reporting time before each assignment
\n● No guaranteed number of working hours
\nContract Type
