Job Description
This role includes driving company trucks, leading a crew, and handling loading at the warehouse, unloading on-site, and setting up event furniture and décor. You’ll be responsible for making sure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and up to our luxury-event standards.
Responsibilities
Operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, limousines, and shuttle buses to transport goods or passengers safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate routes, schedules, and deliveries or pickups, ensuring timely completion of all assignments.
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns; perform basic mechanical checks when necessary.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with regulations.
Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies related to safe driving practices across various environments including urban streets, highways, and industrial yards.
Assist with moving tasks within warehouses or job sites as needed to support overall operational efficiency.
Support the team during route driving by sharing responsibilities for navigation, safety checks, and customer interactions.
Adhere strictly to safety standards related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts or heavy haul vehicles when required.
Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving across multiple vehicle types including box trucks, tractor-trailers, limousines, shuttle buses, or dump trucks.
Strong knowledge of driving regulations and safety procedures applicable to freight transport and passenger services.
Mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance checks.
Familiarity with loading/unloading techniques using pallet jacks or forklifts; experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with team members and clients.
Ability to navigate routes efficiently using GPS systems and map reading skills.
Experience with warehouse operations or moving logistics enhances your versatility on the job site.
Physical capability to load/unload cargo repeatedly and perform manual tasks associated with moving freight or equipment.
Flexibility to operate different types of commercial vehicles including flatbeds, tanker trucks, yard jockeys, or heavy haul trucks as needed.
